Experience

I've tutored my younger sibling and cousins. I want to be a tutor because I love helping and teaching people by showing them the skills they need to grow. I've taken math courses up to Algebra II I'm not the best math tutor, but I can help with basic math skills. Social Studies and History are subjects that I liked learning and did well in. Computer Skills are needed by all people now since everyone communicates through via e-mail or the web and I have years of experience using and researching technology. My typing speed is 60wpm. I am bilingual and fluent in both english and spanish. I can teach you how to read and write in both languages. I've learned over the years how to study in order to remember the material needed for a test. I have great organization skills that I've built up during the years. I like my things to be neat and understandable. I've taken a variety of courses in English, it's the subject I have always excelled in and my major. I'm a good writer and an excellent reader. I know I still have a lot to learn to be at the level I want to be which is why I will continue to learn until I have mastered the art of teaching. Being a tutor will not only be helpful for the student, but also beneficial for myself since I'm studying to become an English Professor. This gives me a step inside the field of teaching; which I love. I am very enthusiastic about being able to teach someone else the knowledge I have gained through out my years of studying, learning, and understanding. Most valuable lesson I give to my students is to never give up. There will always be a struggle during progress, success will be the reward for all the hard work you push the mind to do. The key to being wise is for one to be open minded. You learn best when you are open to new ideas and concepts brought by someone else's mind and by accepting different ways of thinking. Being able to understand the intention of one's thought is the best form of intelligence.
