I really enjoy tutoring because I've always loved learning, and as a tutor, it keeps me actively using my knowledge, keeping my skills sharp. Also, I love helping kids who previously hated school or a certain subject, because most often than not, I find the reason why they hate the subject is because they don't understand the concepts, and either no one has sat down to explain it, or they are embarassed and don't ask for help. I find it very rewarding when I helped clear up a previously confusing concept.

Hobbies
During school, my hobbies take a back burner, but when I do have the time, I like to be outdoors, either hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking or playing tennis. I also like going to museums, art galleries, and the theater. I dabble in art, my mediums are ink and charcoal, as well as some photography. I'm a laid back person, I love to teach one-on-one because I think it's the best way to learn. However, I'm strict with my students because I don't want their time, my time, or the parents' time wasted, and for learning to occur, they need to be focused.
